Shorthand Classes

You might think of ladies in tweed suits and pearls when you hear the word shorthand but there is certainly a place for it in the modern world!

Shorthand is a great tool for recording information quickly, whether that is notes in a meeting, jotting down news from the TV or faithfully recording a colleague’s impromptu speech at a function.

It also provides ‘instant memory’ when you are caught on the hop and have to provide a sound bite for radio or TV interviews.

Shorthand can be taught in a matter of months with regular classes and thorough application and practice. Let Write Away Whitsundays quote for you depending on the number of people and frequency of classes.

P.S. Write Away Whitsundays director Deborah Friend has 100 words per minute shorthand thanks to going through the UK’s National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) program. She uses it all the time and sadly, even ‘thinks’ in shorthand when watching TV!
